Kentucky Iota Phi Vishnu Tirumala has been elected Student Government Association (SGA) President at the University of Louisville. Brother Tirumala is a junior from Corbin, Kentucky who is studying Political Science and Philosophy. As SGA President, he hopes to tackle issues relating to housing costs, inclusiveness, construction, selecting a new University President and improving student services.
An alumnus of the Gatton Academy of Math & Science, Vishnu joined Phi Delta Theta in Fall 2014. He has served various roles within the chapter including Public Relations officer and IFC delegate. In 2016, Brother Tirumala served on the chapter’s executive committee as Recruitment Chairman where he oversaw the recruitment of the chapter’s largest class to date.
Within the Student Government Association, Vishnu has previously served as a Student Senator and a Resident Assistant. He is currently also a member of the Student Orientation Staff. After graduating, Brother Tirumala is hoping to attend law school and work in consumer advocacy or public interest law.
