About Jim

James P. Burra currently serves as CEO and President of Endural, a manufacturer of plastic returnable containers for the electronic and automotive industries. Mr. Burra also serves on the boards of Semtech Corporation, an analog semiconductor company.

Brother Burra’s previous business experiences include positions as CFO of Intercole Inc., a multi-industry industrial products company, and as a senior audit manager with Arthur Andersen & Co.  He is a CPA.

Jim was appointed a member of the Board of Trustees of the Phi Delta Theta Foundation in January of 1999. He became Chairman of the Board January 1, 2001 and served in that position for six years. Brother Burra was a founding member of the group at California State University, Northridge that petitioned Phi Delta Theta to become a chapter. He was a founder of the CSUN Housing Corporation and served as its president for 10 years. Jim also served Phi Delta Theta Fraternity as the province president for Omicron South Province for four years. Most recently, Brother Burra assisted with the founding of the California Phi Chapter at Chapman University and currently serves on the Chapter Advisory Board.

Mr. Burra’s community activities include serving as a director of the Orange County Region of the American Cancer Society.  He was chairman of the board for two years.  He currently serves on the Board of Trustees of Chapman University.

Jim and Kay Burra met in college where she was inter-sorority council president and he was president of the inter-fraternity.  They have two daughters who were both active members of sororities.
