Phi Delta Theta is committed to continuing its leadership role in higher education when addressing the widespread challenges of campus health and safety. Creating safe environments for our undergraduate students that promote personal wellness is, and has been for many years, a top priority for the Fraternity.

Mental Health

Suicide is the second leading cause of death amongst young men; on average, there is one death every eleven minutes. This staggering statistic hits home, especially thinking of the well-being of our members and families. Dedicated Phi Delta Theta volunteers and mental health professionals have created education and resources to promote the well-being of each member.

Alcohol-Free Housing

In 1997, Phi Delta Theta announced its alcohol-free housing policy and hasn’t looked back. It has brought with it countless benefits and organizational momentum, including strong academic performance, membership growth, risk reduction, heightened safety, improved facilities, heightened volunteer engagement, and lower costs. Phi Delta Theta remains one of the few fraternities to have such policy.

Anti-Hazing

Phi Delta Theta does not condone any form of hazing and spends great resources educating about its dangers and consequences. If discovered, the Fraternity takes swift disciplinary action against chapters or individuals responsible. Hazing is contrary to the purpose of fraternity, let alone Phi Delta Theta Fraternity.

We realize that many families wish to remain engaged in their son’s fraternity experience, and we encourage it!

Volunteer

Phi Delta Theta welcomes and encourages parent involvement. Besides involvement in a chapter’s Family Club, an increasing number of parents have become involved in our Chapter Advisory Boards, sharing their expertise and background with undergraduate Phis and helping guide various aspects of the Fraternity.

Show Your Interest

Living Our Values

A chapter can be placed on probation, or have its charter suspended, for violating the Fraternity’s risk management policies, including engaging in abusive behavior, violating our Alcohol-Free Housing policy, misusing drugs and alcohol, or hazing.
